Football Tips for Chelsea v Arsenal, Plus Betting Offers and Free Bets
Maurizio Sarri’s time as Chelsea manager began with a comfortable win against Huddersfield. The Italian will be targeting a similarly successful result in his first home match in charge when Arsenal visit Stamford Bridge. Unai Emery will be well aware of Arsenal’s poor record away to Chelsea but doing anything about it looks a tough task after the Gunners’ 2-0 defeat to Man City last weekend.

Chelsea v Arsenal Betting Tips and Preview
It wasn’t quite a case of ‘meet the new boss, same as the old boss’ for Arsenal fans but the loss to Man City certainly had a familiar feel to it. Arsenal were blown away by the defending Premier League champions in the first 20 minutes and were fortunate not to go into the half time break with more than a one goal deficit. The start of the second half brought about Arsenal’s best spell as they caused City real problems but the momentum they built was quickly snubbed out by Bernardo Silva’s well taken goal.
Publicly, Emery said he was happy with much of what he saw from Arsenal. Privately, he must have had a realisation of just how big his task is to change the fortunes of the club. For Maurizio Sarri the opposite looks to be true. He was warning about the potential for a slow start for Chelsea but he cannot help but have been delighted with the way that they put Huddersfield to the sword.
Clearly, Arsenal are going to pose Chelsea more problems than Huddersfield did. While the Terriers have one of the weakest forward lines in the division, Arsenal have genuine world class talent capable of hurting any team. Gunners fans are particularly excited about a potential strike partnership between Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. It remains to be seen whether Emery is bold enough to start with both strikers at Stamford Bridge but if he does he could be rewarded.
Sarri’s system is far from simple to adopt and the Chelsea players are having to get used to playing with a flat back four again after two years of 3-4-3. The Blues will make life difficult for the visitors with their high press and should win the game but don’t expect them to have things all their own way. Arsenal are good for a goal at the Bridge so back Chelsea to win and both teams to score at 23/10 with Ladbrokes.
Alvaro Morata can consider himself very lucky if he retains his place in the Chelsea team for Saturday’s match. The Spaniard was well off the pace against Huddersfield but it may be too soon for Eden Hazard to start in a new role up front. The Belgian is still working his way back to full fitness and is likely to start on the bench. That won’t necessarily stop him from making it six seasons in a row in which he has scored against Arsenal so bet on Hazard to score the game’s last goal at 5/1 with BetVictor.
