England v Germany Preview, Tips and Betting Offers, Friday 10th November, International friendly – Back England to score at enhanced odds of 33/1
After booking a place in Russia this summer, England need to step up and test themselves against the very best. The strength of their qualification rivals and performances show they’re a long way from taking on the world’s elite. That’s the point of their two glamour friendlies coming up this week, starting with the world champions visiting Wembley. Can the Three Lions take a step towards having a successful World Cup this weekend?

Preview, Stats and Head to Head
The bookmakers are expecting a close game here, with Germany priced up at 6/4 with Betfair to edge this clash. The Three Loions are slightly behind at 33/20 with Coral, while you can get 11/5 on the draw with Betfred. Following their dismal wins over Slovenia and Lithuania last month, it’s hard to imagine too many are going to side with the hosts here.
Gareth Southgate has at least made positive steps as he starts preparing for Russia. He’s now selecting players with specific approach in mind, rather trying to crowbar players in to the side like his predecessors. That tactic will face a stern test on Friday night, as they take on a Germany side who have won three of the last four encounters between these two.
The Germans have won four of their last six trips to England, and we’re expecting them to make life tough for England here. The world champions still have work to do ahead of their World Cup defence, so they’re going to take this one seriously. Having won nine of their last 10 matches, surely they’ll be on form ahead of this trip.
Bets to Place
While England struggled in their recent qualifiers, goals aren’t on short supply in their recent big games. The Three Lions may have crashed out of Euro 2016 without meeting a top nation, they’ve played a few of these high profile friendlies of late. Their last non-competitive game was a 3-2 loss to France, while the Three Lions won 3-2 in Germany last year. One of Gareth Southgate’s early games as caretaker boss saw England race in to a 2-0 lead at home to Spain, before drawing 2-2.
We expect another high scoring game, with both teams scoring in seven of England’s last eight friendlies. With Coral offering 8/11 for BTTS here, we think it’s worth backing. Given the recent high scoring matches between the Three Lions, we think it’s worth backing plenty of goals in this clash. There have been 42 goals in Germany’s last 10 internationals, so we’re backing over 3.5 goals at 5/2 with BetVictor which looks like a great value bet ahead of Friday’s clash.
