Juventus v Man United Tips and Betting Offers, Wednesday 7th November, Allianz Stadium, Kick off: 8pm
Manchester United got a big weekend victory, but things get a little more tricky for them on Wednesday. They are bound for Italy ahead of a crunch Champions League tie with Juventus. United are on four points in the group after their loss to Juve at Old Trafford, and the Italian champions can secure first place with a victory in this encounter. Will there be more misery for Mourinho in his return to Italy?
Juventus v Man United Betting Tips
- Juventus to win at 8/13 with Betfair
- Juventus to Win to Nil at 31/20 with Ladbrokes
Juventus come into this clash priced up at 8/13 with Betfair to take the points. Based on their great start, that’s not a huge price. The Red Devils are priced up at 11/2 with bet365 to cause a shock in Turin. Meanwhile, you can find the draw at 3/1 with BetVictor. Will United prevent Juve from winning for the first time in the Champions League this term?
It’s going to be a tough test for United, who have struggled in Europe so far. While they swatted away Swiss side Young Boys, they drew at home to Valencia and lost to Juventus. Defeat here would make things even worse for United, as it would give Valencia a chance to move out in front in the race for a top two finish. The Spanish side would then meet an already qualified Juventus before hosting United, piling even more pressure onto Mourinho’s side. Will they avoid that fate on Wednesday?
It’s hard to see United coming away with a result here. They’ve looked short in big clashes already this season, while they lack the defensive grit Mourinho usually utilises in big away trips. They’re far too lax at the back for that, and Juve showed in Manchester that there’s a massive gulf between the two. While we don’t see the Serie A side racking up a thumping win, we can’t see anything but another three points for the Italians, as they look to keep up their excellent form.
Juventus have won 10 of 11 domestic games this season, while they’ve been comfortable winners in all three European outings. Their three Champions League wins have all come to nil, so we don’t expect United will find the net here. We’re going with a home win, which seems well priced at 8/13 with Betfair. In addition, another win and clean sheet for Juve seems like excellent value at 31/20 with Ladbrokes. That gives us a big boost on their pre-match odds, and United’s forward line don’t seem capable of troubling the hosts in Wednesday’s clash.
