King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes Betting Preview

Sir Michael Stoute’s four year old Dartmouth is the runner to beat in this one. He has completed a hat-trick of victories this season – at Chelmsford, Chester and, last time out, Ascot. He’s amassed seven wins from 12 starts in his career and shows an excellent turn of pace over the 12 furlongs distance. This will be Dartmouth’s fifth run at Ascot, having won two of his previous trips there.

Last time out he beat the only other true contender in this one, Highland Reel. Aidan O’Brien’s colt has had some decent results in the past, notably his Hong Kong Vase victory last December. We have confidence, however, that Dartmouth will have just enough to hold him off this time as he did last month.

Off course the enhanced odds offer from Coral – who usually offer a bet £5, get £20 free bet offer – will pay out at odds of 8/1 if Dartmouth finishes anywhere in the top three. We think this offer gives new customers to Coral an exceptional chance of turning their £5 bet in £40 of free bets – double their standard offer.

Also, if – like us – you are confident Dartmouth with do the business, why not double up by backing him with Betfair too at a very nice price of 6/1 to win?
