Stan James offer a decent range of markets although there is a relatively heavy UK focus, with football and horse racing to the fore. In terms of odds Stan James fair well without being spectacular. Service is generally very good with short waiting times and helpful staff, although some more complex queries took a while to answer.
One minor criticism is that their help section isn’t as well-honed as some rivals, with little to help you find a quick answer rather than contact customer services.
Stan James overall verdict
Stan James are a great bookmaker and if you had to pick just one company to bet with they would certainly be high up the list. They have no significant weaknesses and cover enough sports with enough markets – and generally above average odds – to cater for most punters. The mobile and in-play offerings are particular strengths and whilst the opening free bet is small, the repeat and regular offers and very good. All in all, it’s the thumbs up from us!
